WW1: COUNCILS DO THEIR BIT

The War Drags On

As the war approached its second anniversary, the Prime Minister sent a letter to the councils of
New Zealand, asking them to commemorate the start of the war. It was requested that the councils hold a meeting of the local citizens and submit a “resolution of determination to continue the war to a victorious end”.
