Eketahuna Borough Ladies Patriotic Committee

The Eketahuna Borough Patriotic Committee meet on Wednesday 17th July 1940 to form a Ladies Committee to work in conjunction with the Patriotic Committee. The Committee ceased sometime after July 1946. Also mentioned in the minutes were the Eketahuna Ladies Soldiers Comforts Committee. The Eketahuna Patriotic Society held a meeting 21 June 1951 to re establish a committee primarily for the purpose of arranging farewell functions for the men leaving the town to go to Korea and then later to welcome the soldiers home. The last committee meetings were held in 1956.
