The Eketahuna Public Hall Company was created in 1903. On April 25th 1964 The Eketahuna Public Hall burnt down. Under Section 40 of the Local Legislation Act 1964 the company was wound up and their land and assets were vested in the Borough Council, who were then responsible for the construction of a replacement community centre facility.
