History
After discussions during the 1940s and early 1950s the Horowhenua Lake Domain Board was reconstituted in 1956 by the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act.
The Reserves Act 1977 technically renamed the Board as a Reserve Board, but it continued to be known as the Horowhenua Lake Domain Board.
The Board continues to operated today.
