History
It is not known when the Hunua Rabbit Board was first formed, but the earliest minutes (held by Ruapehua District Council) are from 1941. In 1968 due to changing legislation the Rabbit Board became a Pest Destruction Board. In 1973 the Board amalgamated with the Ohura North and Meringa Tokirima Pest Destruction Boards to form the Central King Country Pest Destruct Board.
