History
The Lethbridge Local Board was first formed in 1873 under the Local Boards Act of the Wellington Provincial Government. The Board administered the township of Turakina. In 1881 the Town Boards Act renamed it as the Lethbridge Town Board. In 1925 the Board merged into Rangitikei County.
