Naturally Wanganui

The aim of the agency was to promote tourism in Wanganui, obtaining funding from central Government. It covered the area of the Wanganui Regional Development Council i.e. the Waimarino, Rangitikei, Wanganui, Waitotara and Patea Counties, and was funded by the Councils within its area. The Executive Committee was nominated by Hospitality Wanganui, Rangitikei Tourism, Whanganui Maori Tourism Council, the Department of Conservation, Wanganui Regional Development Council, and the accommodation and tourist transport industries. The Regional Development Council provided secretarial and administration support. Naturally Wanganui was disestablished when the central government funding scheme ended.
