The Ohura North Rabbit Board was formed in 1941. In 1968 due to changing legislation the Rabbit Board became a Pest Destruction Board. In 1973 the Board amalgamated with the Hunua and Meringa Tokirima Pest Destruction Boards to form the Central King Country Pest Destruct Board.
