It is unclear when the Cemetery Trustees were first appointed as minutes are not held. The first burial in the Cemetery dates to 1913.
The trustees handed over administration to the Taumarunui County Council in 1963, however appear to have continued to manage the Cemetery as a committee under the Council.
The last letter copy held dates to 1967 and it is possible the Council subsequently administered the cemetery directly.
