Pleckville Rural Water Supply Executive Committee

A steering committee was established in 1979 for the creation of a rural water supply system for the Pleckville area. The committee worked with the Eketahuna County Council in working on the details of the scheme. Once approval was received in 1983 the local farmers decided to establish an Executive Committee independent of the County, retaining local control and oversee the work as it was carried out. The Council provided some administrative support to the committee.

Following the completion of work in 1987 the Eketahuna County Council assumed administration of the scheme and the Executive Committee continued as a committee of council.
