Formed from the former City Council’s Works Operations, River City Contractors was a Local Authority Trading Enterprise (LATE), owned by the Council. In 1996 the company purchased Road Stone Quarries Ltd. The companies were wound up and sold to Works Civil Construction Ltd in July 1998.
