Southern Hawke’s Bay Zone Patriotic Committee

The first meeting of the Southern Hawke’s Bay Zone Patriotic Committee was held in the Council Chambers, High Street, Dannevirke on 28th November 1939. The Southern Hawke’s Bay Zone Patriotic Committee consisted of Dannevirke Borough and County Council, Woodville Borough and County Council, Weber County Council, Ormondville Town Board, Te Rehunga and Maori representation. It is unknown exactly when the Committee was wound up as there are no minutes held after 1943, but the other records held do not go further than 1947.
