History
The Tiriraukawa Cemetery had been in use from at least 1898 however the trustees only seem to have been appointed by Lands and Survey Department in 1903.
The cemetery closed to burials many years prior to the Trustees being removed, which only occurred in 1965, at which point the land was vested in the Rangitikei County Council. The council would later sell the land to a local farmer.
