History
The aim of the Industrial Promotions Council was to promote industrial development in Wanganui, with the provision of advice and information to prospective companies and investors. The Committee comprised two representatives from each of the three sponsors – the Electric Power Board, the Wanganui Harbour Board, and the Wanganui City Council. Meetings were held in the Council Chambers or the Town Clerk’s office.
