History
The Western Districts Rabbit Boards Association (after 1968 the Western Districts Pest Destruction Boards Association) was set up in 1965 as a forum to exchange knowledge and views on the destruction of animal pests in New Zealand also the administration of relevant legislation. The participating Rabbit Boards included Hunterville, Ruahine, Rangitoto, Patea/Waitotara, Wanganui and Manawatu. The Association appears to have been wound up about 1973, which coincided with three of the Boards amalgamating to form the Western Pest Destruction Board (the Manawatu and Ruahine Boards remained independent).
