Puketoi Rabbit Board Cash Book

This series contains the Puketoi Rabbit Board Cash Book from 1931-1949. There are no cashbooks held for this board prior to 1931. The cashbook was used to record all business relating to payments made to the Puketoi Rabbit Board (i.e. rates), the depositing of the cash into the Boards bank account, and payments made by the board (i.e. Salaries, Cartridges). Records are arranged across two pages divided between Cash and Contra. Pages are headed up with “Puketoi Rabbit Board of Trustees”, “Cash Account” and “Month / Year dated”. Columns under Cash from left to right include Month, Day, title of entry (i.e. rate payee, account name), Cash and Bank. Totals and a summary of cash are also listed for each cash period, The summary of cash also showing totals for payment of rates for that rate period. Columns listed under Contra included Month, Day, title of entry and Cash. Records can be found in chronological order by month and year, found in the page header. There is no index.
