This series concerns the drivers licence applications issued by the Horowhenua County Council from 1968 to 1983, and Shannon Borough Council from 1965 to 1981.
Details of application includes; Class or classes of licence applied for, full name of applicant, address, occupation, date and place of birth, and any endorsements. The Cards also recorded details of licence renewals.
The applications are in card format and can be found in alphabetical order by surname and have been organised into a series of batches. Some cards also have Testing Officer's reports, medical certificates, and driver's licences attached.
