Kiwitea County Council Inward and Outward Correspondence in Subject Files (3rd series)

This series contains the main file system of the Kiwitea County Council, created about 1985, although a small number of earlier papers were carried over. The file system was largely closed off in 1989 following the creation of the new Manawatu District Council. The files cover such subjects as streets, parks and reserves, sewerage and water systems, town planning issues and subdivisions. In the 1990s these files were reorganised alphabetically by subject and had their file covers removed and destroyed. As part of the work done on the archives in 2011 the original order was re-established and they have be organised by file number.
