Record number on Valuation roll, name of occupier or person primarily liable for rates, description of property, rateable values, amount of rates demanded, name of payer and date of payment. Volumes are signed by members of the Manchester Roads Board, Volumes 2 to 10 include special rates records. For entries after 1901 see the first Rate Book of the Oroua County Council. Volume one includes entries for Feilding Township for 1880-1882. The rate books are missing for 1883-1890 and only rate arrears are held for 1882-1883 in volume 1.
