Building Plans - Government Life Insurance Department

For building permit. Plans and specifications for a proposed 5 storey office building on the corner of Rangitikei and Queen Streets, designed by L.G. West, Son & Hornibrook, Registered Architects, Structural Engineers and Quantity Surveyors, Palmerston North in 1937. This building was never constructed, but in later years the Government Life erected a smaller office building on the same site. These plans and specifications have been retained because they were prepared by a well-known firm of Palmerston North architects and because they complement the records of that firm which are preserved in the City Archives.
