Folders created during the term of office of B.G.C. Elwood (Mayor 1971 – 1985), covering subjects of major significance. The files are arranged in alphabetical order by subject. This series was created in 1969 with the appointment of the first Secretary to the Mayor (Mrs Dorothy Clark). Prior to 1969 the Mayor’s Correspondence was typed to the Town Clerk’s Department and filed in the record systems Series 1/5/2, 1/5/3, 1/5/4, 1/5/5 and 1/5/7.
