For Palmerston North and Districts Soldiers Memorial Fund. Inward and outward correspondence, mainly created and recieved by John Permain, secretary of the Memorial Fund. The organisation raised funds for the erection of a memorial to local residents who were killed during World War One. The memorial was erected in The Square in 1926.
