Ian Matheson City Archives

The Ian Matheson City Archives (IMCA) contains the records of the Palmerston North City Council and numerous predecessor organisations, such as the County Councils, Road Boards, Town Boards and Domain Boards, that operated within the current Palmerston North City Boundaries from 1872-1989.  IMCA also contains a community archives collection made up of material donated by local businesses and families. The collection is physically stored within the Palmerston North Library and Palmerston North City Council building.
