Contracts Ledgers (2nd Series)

This series contains the county contract ledgers for 1900-1956. As first created there were two numbering sequences for the contracts, one for the northern part of the county controlled by the Hunterville Engineers Office and the other for the southern part.

After 1930 the separate southern sequence was abandoned and both offices used a central system based on the northern numbers. Separate records were still kept for the southern area and those volumes sometimes contain additional information not found in the northern volumes.

Datees frequently overlap between volumes as payments for contacts could occur over several years.
