This series contains a single volume which holds newspaper articles and photographs of significant events the impacted on Marton.

This includes photographs of those Mayors who held office from 1879-1915, Flooding in Marton 1950, Marton Borough Coronation Celebrations 1953, Royal Visit to Marton 1954, Flooding in Marton 1954, Marton 75th Anniversary 1954, Jockey Club Grandstand destroyed by fire 1954, Water Supply Improvements Scheme 1953-1954, Operation Water Lift 1955, New Reservoir Dam 1956, Pensioner Flats 1958, Sir James Wilson Park formerly handed to Borough 1955, Construction of Kensington Road Bridge 1957.

A set of loose documents, photos and newspaper cuttings were found at the back of the volume and removed to a separate folder.
