Minutes of meetings of the Woodville Library Committee

This series contains the minute book of the Woodville Library Committee. As originally set up in 1878 the committee was a community initiative to set up a public library. In 1903 a resolution was passed by the Library Committee to ask Woodville Borough Council to take over the Library (then in Ormond Street). The minutes in this series are for the original Library Committee, the later Borough Library Committee and several other library related committees created by the Borough. After 1941 the library committee minutes can be found in the main council minutes series, although a few of the related committee minutes continued to be recorded in this volume until 1952.
