Descriptive Note

Contains mainly monthly reports by the County Foreman of Works and County Engineer. Topics include construction and maintenance of roads and bridges, also the Duries Creek Pound. The 1880-1884 files contain many reports by Engineer Henry Field re Murimotu. Some accounts also included, plus occasional reports by a Committee of the Council. The series also contains a number of reports by the Inspector of Slaughterhouses.
