Junk Man's Holiday: Clean sweep in Wanganui Wanganui citizens pile accumulated junk outside their gates for volunteers to collect during a community clean-up campaign.

Parade of Homes Auckland has a 'Parade of Homes' in a new street. Builders have completed homes to their own designs which are now open to public inspection.

Thunder Jets at Ohakea In Operation Handclasp, United States Thunderjets, with attendant tanker planes, land at Ohakea and are on show to the public. Aerial re-fuelling gear of English design and build is demonstrated to the Royal New Zealand Air Force on the ground and in use in the air.
