From Introduction: The study aims to carry out a heritage study of the central area of Wanganui using both documentary and physical evidence in order to identify buildings and features of historical and/or architectural significance and to devise a strategy for the protection and enhancement of these features. The study involved extensive consultation with local community interest groups.
